The Proximity Hotel located in Greensboro, North Carolina is a Gold Leed Certified hotel built by developer Dennis Quantance. Proximity Hotel uses 100 solar panels on the hotel rooftop which generate the hot water used for the entire hotel. The rooftop solar panels are filled with glycol which acts as a heat exchanger. The sun's energy is transfered to generate hot water. 60% of hot water for hotel and restaurant ... that amount is equal to 100 homes use every day.
